De eerste stap van het intuïtive proces is het verzamelen van zo veel mogelijk beeld. Ik heb dit beeld uitgeprint en naast elkaar gelegd, zodat ik duidelijk overzicht had van wat er allemaal voor me lag. Ik ben gelijk begonnen met het maken van clusters/verschillende hunches

Na het selecteren van clusters heb ik een aanzet gedaan om 6 verschillende hunches te formuleren. Op dit moment zijn ze nog erg groot. Waardoor er per hunch weer nieuwe kleinere en specifiekere hunches gemaakt kunnen worden.

Ik heb geprobeerd een optelsom te maken om te kijken of er een overkoepelend thema zou zijn mbt alle hunches, maar dit is nu niet relevant. Het is bij deze methode belangrijk dat er een hunch wordt geformuleerd op basis van intuitie en visueel materiaal . Het overkoepelende thema is misschien wel van toepassing bij het onderbouwen van de trend/waardeverschuiving.

Dit zijn de hunches waarvan ik het gevoel had dat ze richting gaven aan een verandering. De feedback die ik van Bodil kreeg was dat deze begin hunches te breed waren. Uit deze drie hunches kan ik meerdere kleinere hunches gaan formuleren. Dit doe ik door middel van het sorteren op basis van twee afbeeldingen. Elk cluster vormt een hunch.

Uit de nieuwe sorteer ronde zijn bovenstaande hunches gekomen. Door heel letterlijk naar elke afbeelding te kijken heb ik ze nu gesorteerd op specifieke kenmerken. Bij de hunch 'iets met ingekapselt' zie je letterlijk dat elk lichaam op de fotos is ingekapselt door een soort net en bij de hunch 'iets met opgeblazen' zie je dat het opgeblazen artikel dient als een soort zwembadje. De hartjes laten zien welke hunches ik het meest interessant vindt en de hunch met de meeste hartjes wordt verder geanalyseerd.

Iets over de nieuwe 'balloon'3D functie van illustrator?

John Scurlock heeft in 1959 de eerste opblaasbare structuur uitgevonde tijdens het experimenteren met inflatables voor tennis dekzeilen. Nadat hij merkte dat zijn personeel op de opblaasbare structuur begon te springen. Het eerste ontwerp was dit springkussen in de vorm van een soort matras. Later heeft hij Space Walk opgericht en specialiseerde hij zich als pionier in het gebruiken van opblaasbare structuren voor als veiligheidsmiddel door de brandweer.
